When talking isn't enough
Yoga as a tool to release trapped emotions
Sometimes we feel the need to talk, to “share our problems” and feel lighter. However, we often do this repetitively, saying the same thing time and again, without really listening to what we actually mean “by what we are saying”.
That is why I found this tool, Yoga for the Soul, to be an incredibly empowering resource. It is a space where you can talk, but afterwards, you must take action. It is therapy in motion. How? By letting the body be the one to speak, to move, to express itself, and to break free.
Words can overwhelm us without actually saying anything at all. They simply occupy our minds with more and more words, yet we fail to find the true meaning of what we are going through or what we wish to express.
When we allow the body to express itself, many things happen within that mental silence. We shift those hidden emotions inside us; we dance them out, we release them, and we heal both body and soul.
The session ends with a beautiful lightness. A renewed energy. A wonderfully quiet mind. And the problem? What problem? It becomes small or even disappears completely.
